If the SERVERSIGNING security option is enabled, Client Access Services uses MCAPI to digitally sign Server Message Block (SMB) packets. When MCAPI is re-initialized, you must restart Client Access Services to avoid a mismatch in signatures used for SMB signing and an error message that indicates the crypto is unavailable.
