This feature enables you to designate a “lifetime” and a warning period for passwords. When a password reaches a certain age, the user is warned that the password will expire in so many days. At the end of that time, the password no longer enables the user to access the system. You have the software-supported option of permitting users with expired passwords to generate new passwords for themselves or of requiring them to apply to the security administrator for their new passwords.

The password aging functionality is available for passwords associated with usercodes and for passwords associated with accesscodes.
