Secure Shell (SSH) is protocol suite which provides a different type of secure connection when security for data sent over the Internet is important. Its authentication model is different than SSL/TLS (password or public key as opposed to X.509 certificates). Currently, only SFTP (the file transfer protocol) is supported on the ClearPath MCP system as well as a remote command initiation utility (SSHCLIENT).
