A systemwide security policy specifies the security parameters and options of the ClearPath MCP system. The security administrator can configure a systemwide security policy through the MCP Security Policy Management module of Security Center. As a security administrator, you can do the following:
-
Establish and organize system-wide security settings, such as security options (SECOPT) and logging settings.
-
Establish and organize user account policies to be used in MCP Account Management.
-
Maintain a history of changes made to the system policy settings.
-
Implement security rules such that restrictions and limitations are imposed on remote users using TCP/IP for system access. Packets are filtered based on rules applied to incoming and outgoing packets.
-
Implement IP security (IPsec) policies.
