NTLM, NTLMv2, and Kerberos are supported by the Web Transaction Server.
The capitalization of the password entered by the browser user with NTLM must match the capitalization of the MCP password. This capitalization is usually uppercase, unless the MCP password was enclosed in quotation marks when created.
The AUTHSUPPORT library must be installed for NTLM authentication. The Web Transaction Server links to the AUTHSUPPORT library if NTLM or Kerberos authentication is configured in the Web Transaction Server.
Accesscodes and chargecodes cannot be specified by the browser user and are not supported for either NTLM or Kerberos authentication. If USEDEFAULTCHARGE is set on the usercode, the Web Transaction Server uses the first chargecode in the chargecode list.
When a resource in the Web Transaction Server is configured with “Authorization = KerberosOrNTLM”, the client can use NTLM if it does not support Kerberos. If the client, such as the Netscape Web browser, does not support Kerberos, it uses NTLM instead. A Kerberos-only option is not available.
