Determining Open Ports on an MCP Server

The Network Mapper (NMAP) feature of the Security Policy Management snap-in enables you to perform an externally driven scan of TCP and UDP ports of a specific MCP server. The scan determines the ports on the system that are visible at a given time from a given location on the network. The NMAP feature is accessible by right-clicking the TCP/IP Filtering node in the Security Policy Management snap-in.

Note: Running this network scan can impose significant overhead on your network and the MCP server to be scanned. NMAP feature
