Reinitializing the System

The security features remain in effect across halt/loads of the system. All the security options that are set when you designate a value for the CLASS security option of the SECOPT (Security Options) system command remain in effect when the system is brought up after a halt/load.

Information about security configuration is stored on the halt/load unit. If the halt/load unit is damaged or unavailable, the security configuration is lost, and you must reconfigure security after establishing a new halt/load unit. Any changes to the halt/load unit should be made under the guidance of the security administrator.
