The MODULUS option can be used as a set-subset physical option only with index random sets and subsets. The unsigned integer specifies the number of basic tables allocated when the index random structure is initialized. This value is also used to compute the table number for the start of the search.

To provide a better distribution of key entries for index random sets and subsets, an odd modulus value should be specified.
