The DUMPSTAMP option enables the use of the incremental and accumulated dump feature in DMUTILITY. When the DUMPSTAMP option is set in DASDL, an extra word is allocated following the last word of data in each block and before the checksum word. The dumpstamp word is used to store the last update transtamp of each data block. INDEPENDENTTRANS and CHECKSUM must also be set when DUMPSTAMP is set to TRUE.
