The BACKUPSN = <tape serial number> modifier limits the report to files that have an archive or catalog backup copy on the tape with a specified serial number.

When you use the BACKUPSN modifier, FILEDATA searches for the specified serial number in either archive directories or catalog directories or both, according to which modifiers you specify in the task request. You should explicitly specify either the ARCHIVE modifier or the CATALOGUE modifier or both.

If you omit the ARCHIVE and CATALOGUE modifiers, and if the task request is neither ARCHIVEINFO nor CATALOGINFO, then FILEDATA will not search the archive and catalog directories, and the BACKUPSN modifier will have no effect.

BACKUPSN is invalid with the CONTAINER, TAPE, and WRAPPEDFILES modifiers.
