COMPILETIME Function

── COMPILETIME ── ( ──<constant arithmetic expression>── ) ────────────┤

The COMPILETIME function obtains various system time values at compilation time, for use by the object program. The form of the value returned by the COMPILETIME function is the same as that returned by the TIME function for the same argument. The compiler computes the returned value by using the TIME function at compilation time. For more information, refer to TIME Function.

COMPILETIME(20) returns, in integer form, the program version number as set by the VERSION compiler control option.

COMPILETIME(21) returns, in integer form, the program cycle number as set by the VERSION compiler control option.

COMPILETIME(22) returns, in integer form, the program patch number as set by the VERSION compiler control option.

COMPILETIME(65) returns, in integer form, the TARGET level set by either of the following:

  • TARGET compiler control option

  • COMPILERTARGET system command (if no TARGET compiler control option is used)

COMPILETIME(66) returns, in integer form, a value in the range 1 to 100 that indicates the percentage of code generated by the compiler that can be stored in the current code segment. This percentage is based on the current location within the current code segment and the maximum size allowed for a code segment.

COMPILETIME(80) returns, in integer form, the version number of the compiler.

COMPILETIME(81) returns, in integer form, the cycle number of the compiler.

COMPILETIME(82) returns, in integer form, the patch number of the compiler.
