Discontinuing Linkage

A program can delink from a library program by using either the CANCEL statement or the DELINKLIBRARY function.

The CANCEL statement causes the library program to unfreeze and resume running as a regular program. The CANCEL statement can be used only on PRIVATE and SHAREDBYRUNUNIT libraries.

The DELINKLIBRARY function affects only the linkage between the program executing the DELINKLIBRARY function and the specified library. Any other programs linked to the specified library are not affected. For more information, see DELINKLIBRARY Function.
