This procedure returns the product line name in the PL_NAME_PTR parameter.
The EBCDIC array referenced by the PL_NAME_PTR pointer parameter must be big enough to hold the returned name. The maximum length of a product line name is 72 characters.
Normally, the procedure result is the length of the product line name. If an error occurred during the execution of the procedure, it returns a negative integer value.
Example
BEGIN
$ INCLUDE INTL="SYMBOL/INTL/ALGOL/PROPERTIES." 10000000 - 59999999
FILE OUT(KIND=PRINTER);
INTEGER PL_NAME_LEN;
EBCDIC ARRAY PL_NAME[0:71];
POINTER PL_NAME_PTR;
PL_NAME_PTR := PL_NAME[0];
PL_NAME_LEN := INSERT_PRODUCTLINE_NAME(PL_NAME_PTR);
IF PL_NAME_LEN > 0 THEN
WRITE(OUT,<"PRODUCT_LINE_NAME = ",A*>,
PL_NAME_LEN, PL_NAME)
ELSE
WRITE(OUT,<"ERROR FROM INSERT_PRODUCTLINE_NAME = ",J4>,
PL_NAME_LEN);
END.
