Syntax
── CTYPE ─┬─────────────┬─┬──────┬─<compiler kind>─────────────────────┤ └─<file name>─┘ └─ TO ─┘
Explanation
The CTYPE command changes the COMPILERKIND attribute of the specified file. If no <file name> parameter is specified, the work file is assumed.
The <compiler kind> parameter must be of type NEWP, CC, or UNSPECIFIED. The <compiler kind> parameter identifies the appropriate compiler for the COMPILE command. The parameter is also used by the PATCH utility, the Editor, and other programs to determine whether VOIDT or DELETE dollar options should be used to represent deleted regions in patch files.
The file must be of type DATA, CDATA, TEXT, SEQ, CSEQ, or WIDE.
If a <file name> parameter is used, it must not contain a usercode or an asterisk (*) as a prefix.
Example
make woof data #WORKFILE WOOF: DATA ctype newp # what #WORKFILE WOOF: DATA (WILL COMPILE WITH NEWP)
