Removing the Query Processor Software

Removing the Query Processor software from the MCP environment involves deleting the server library, worker code files, MCPSQL/CONFIG file, and the DSS entities..

Perform the following steps to remove the Query Processor software from the MCP environment:

  1. Stop the Query Processor server by entering the following system command:

    NA MCPSQL QUIT NOW
  2. Remove the function name specification for MCPSQLSERVER by entering the following system commands:

    SL - MCPSQLSERVER
    SL - MCPSQLCONFIG
    SL - MCPSQLSCODE
    SL - MCPSQLCLI
  3. Delete the DSS entities by entering the following system commands:

    NA REG DEL PROV MCPSQLPROV
    NA REG DEL DSS MCPSQL
    NA REG DEL EP MCPSQL_TCPIP
  4. Remove the following Query Processor server files:

    SYSTEM/MCPSQL/=
    SYMBOL/MCPSQL/=
    EXAMPLE/MCPSQL/=
    DESCRIPTION/SQLDIR/MCPSQL-CATALOG
    MCPSQL/= 

Windows Environment

The Windows uninstall program removes the Query Processor software only. The program does not remove the log, trace, and schema files, which you can remove manually.

Perform the following steps to uninstall the Query Processor software from your Windows environment:

  1. Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon on Control Panel.

    The Add or Remove Programs Properties dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select Unisys Query Processor Utilities for ClearPath MCP.

  3. Click OK.

    The uninstall program begins and removes the Query Processor software.
