OS 2200 Console Manager is a client application of Operations Sentinel. You can use OS 2200 Console Manager to help manage Operations Sentinel servers, ClearPath Plus Servers Dorado Series systems, OS 2200 partitions, OS 2200 consoles, OS 2200 console views, and sites (enterprises) from a workstation.
OS 2200 Console Manager displays two different views of the tree pane: OS 2200 and Operations Server. The OS 2200 view shows the mapping between the system, its partitions, and the OS 2200 consoles. The Operations Server view shows the mapping between OS 2200 consoles and the Operations Sentinel servers where they are hosted. See Navigating Between Views for more information.
The terms "Operations Server" and "Operations Sentinel server" are used interchangeably in this help. The term "partition" implies an OS 2200 partition. The term "connection" is frequently used throughout this help. A connection is the logical channel through which two software components communicate. If one component can no longer communicate with the other component, the connection is broken or lost.
