Terminate OS 2200 Consoles

In certain situations, you might need to terminate an OS 2200 console. This can occur if a console loses connection to the corresponding Exec console through Server Control or if it is experiencing problems that cause it to hang or loop.

Note: Terminating a console stops the logical console software but does not stop the Exec console it is associated with.

To terminate an OS 2200 console from a console icon

  1. Right-click the desired console icon and click Terminate.

A message box appears and asks you to confirm the termination of the console.

  2. Click OK if you want to terminate the console or Cancel to stop the termination.

If the console is terminated successfully, you receive a message that confirms the termination and the console icon is removed from the tree pane. If the OS 2200 console is not terminated successfully, you receive an error message that explains why the termination failed. See Troubleshooting for more information on a failed termination.

Note: You must be a member of the SPO Administrators group to terminate OS 2200 consoles.
