You can rehost or move an OS 2200 console executing on an Operations Server to a different Operations Server. Reasons why you would rehost a console include
The Operations Server that currently hosts the console needs to be brought down for planned maintenance.
The load of consoles needs to be redistributed across multiple Operations Servers.
An Operations Server that was previously down is now able to host consoles.
When you rehost a console, the new logical console process activates the AMS database that was active when the console was last hosted on the targeted Operations Server. All variables are initialized to their default values. If the target Operations Server has never hosted the console, no AMS database is activated.
Note: You cannot rehost a console until the Exec has reached SYS FIN.
