The Fabric Manager enables you to test and verify the Call Home connectivity using the Test Setting feature. The Test Setting feature provides the following options:
Communication Test Packet: When you use this option, the Fabric Manager establishes a connection with the Unisys Support Center and sends the ESRDIAG packet. A successful communication is acknowledged with a SACK, and an unsuccessful communication is marked as Failed. If the information within the packet cannot be fully validated, a NACK is displayed.
For more information on SACK and NACK events, see Understanding Events.
For information on how to test and verify the connectivity using the communication test packet, see Testing Call Home Connectivity Using Communication Test Packet Option.
Ready for Use Test Packet: When you use this option, the Fabric Manager user interface establishes the connection with the Unisys Support Center and sends the ESRRFU packet that validates the system style, serial number, and address information entered in the Customer Information tab.
For information on how to test and verify the connectivity using the ready for use test packet, see Testing Call Home Connectivity Using Ready for Use Test Packet Option.
Note: The serial number is same as the service tag, and is entered in ID field of the Customer Info. tab.
Heartbeat Test Packet: When you use this option, the Fabric Manager establishes a connection with the Unisys Support Center and sends the Hearbeat ESRDIAG packet that acknowledge the running status of Fabric Manager Services.
Notes:
By default, the Heartbeat call home is scheduled for 7days.
When Fabric Manager Services restart, the Hearbeat call home scheduler automatically resets, and the Heartbeat test packet is sent to the Unisys support system.
For information on how to test the Heartbeat Test Packet manually, see Testing the Heartbeat Test Packet .
