Chassis Configurations for a 2-Socket, 14-Core EPP shows the possible partition chassis configurations of an EPP with two processor sockets and 14 processor cores per socket.
Maximum Memory per Partition (Gigabytes)
Note that the following table assumes a memory configuration equal to the architectural limit of the system: that is, 24 DIMM slots populated with 64GB DIMMs.
A: 1536 | B: 512 | C: 640 | D: 384 | E: 256 | F: 256 |
G: 128 | H: 128 | I: 128 | J: 128 | K: 128 | L: 128 |
M: 128 | N: 64 | O: 64 | P: 64 | Q:64 | R:64 |
S: 64 | T: 64 | U: 64 | V: 64 | W: 64 | X: 64 |
Y: 64 | Z: 64 |
Two Examples of Valid Combinations of Partition
The example on the left has two 2-core partitions based on Chassis-E and Chassis-I, one 4-core partition based on Chassis-B, one 8-core partition based on Chassis-A, and one 10-core partition based on Chassis-C.
The example on the right has two 2-core partitions based on Chassis-C and Chassis-K, one 6-core partition based on Chassis-D, and one 16-core partition based on Chassis-A.
