This topic describes problems you can encounter when using OS 2200 Console Manger and tries to offer possible solutions.
Problems
OS 2200 Console Manager did not successfully terminate an OS 2200 console.
The OS 2200 console displays an error message if it could not successfully terminate. Possible reasons for the failure and solutions include
The console you want to terminate is no longer active on the Operations Server.
The connection to the Operations Server hosting the console was lost. Check to make sure the connection is still active.
A previous request to terminate the console is still in progress. If a previous request to terminate is still in progress, a termination dialog box will be open for the selected console.
Your level of OS 2200 Operations Sentinel Interface for ClearPath Plus does not support the terminate console feature. Upgrade to a newer release, if possible.
You are not able to terminate an OS 2200 console.
You can only terminate an OS 2200 console if you are a member of the SPO Administrators group.
Check to make sure you are a member of this group. If not and you need to terminate a console, contact your local administrator to obtain this privilege.
Rehosting an OS 2200 console to a new Operations Server failed.
Possible reasons why a rehost failed include
The connection between OS 2200 Console Manager and OS 2200 Console Interface for ClearPath Plus is lost. You can try to reestablish the connection by refreshing the OS 2200 Console Manager session. Press F5 or click Refresh on the Tools menu.
The connection between OS 2200 Console Interface for ClearPath Plus and OS 2200 Operations Sentinel Interface for ClearPath Plus is lost for the Operations Server that requested the rehost or the target Operations Server for the rehost. OS 2200 Console Interface for ClearPath Plus and OS 2200 Operations Sentinel Interface for ClearPath Plus automatically retry to reconnect if the connection is lost.
The target Operations Server for the rehost is not configured in the partition profile to host the console. To permanently make the target Operations Server available to rehost the console, add the Operations Server to the partition profile using Site Configuration Management System (SCMS). You can also use Server Control Client to temporarily make the Operations Server available on the partition. The Operations Server is able to host consoles until the partition is removed. See the Server Control Client Help for more information.
The console no longer exists on the Operations Server.
The console you are trying to rehost is still processing a previous rehost request. You must wait until the previous rehost request is complete or cancel it.
Your level of OS 2200 Operations Sentinel Interface for ClearPath Plus does not support the rehosting feature. Upgrade to a newer release, if possible.
The EXEC has not reached SYS FIN.
Check to find which one of the above reasons applies to your situation.

A change you made in OS 2200 Macro Maintenance did not take effect.
If there is not a connection to the Operations Server, the changes are not relayed.
To see if there is a connection, check if Operations Sentinel Server services are running on the Operations Server.
On the Start menu, point to Programs, Unisys Operations Sentinel x.y.z (where x.y.z is the level of Operations Sentinel), and then Administrative Tools, and click Status of Server Services.
If the OS 2200 console service is not running, start the service.
Once the service is up, Macro Maintenance displays a message box saying changes have been made externally. Either click
Yes, to revert the contents to what is on the Operations Server.
No, to keep the contents as they are.
When you close Macro Maintenance or make another change, the Operations Server is updated.
