Replace a Macro or Macro Generator List

You can replace your current list of macros or macro generators with a list that resides on a different Operations Server. Use this operation when you want to apply a list you have already configured to other Operations Servers.

Note: Replacing the list deletes your current list, but does not permanently remove the existing macros or macros generators from the os2200-macros folder.

To replace a macro or macro generator list

  1. Start OS 2200 Macro Maintenance.

  2. Click either the Macro or Macro Generator tab panel.

The Macro tab panel is displayed by default.

  3. Select a Dorado Series server from the Dorado System drop-down list.

The available partition definitions for your selected server are displayed in the Dorado Partition drop-down box.

  4. Select the desired partition definition or add a new partition definition.

  5. Click Replace List....

The Replace List dialog box appears.

  6. Click the desired Operations Server that contains the replacement list and click Replace.

Macro Maintenance transfers the files from the Operations Server that contains the replacement list. If a file already exists, you receive a prompt to overwrite the file, if desired. A dialog box appears that tells you how many files were successfully transferred.

  7. Click OK to replace your current list with the successfully transferred files. The new list appears in the Available box.

Alternatively, you can right-click in the Available Macros or Available Macro Generators box and click Replace List from the shortcut menu.

Any change you make in Macro Maintenance takes effect immediately.

Note: You must be a member of the SPO Administrators group on the Operations Server where the macro list resides to use Macro Maintenance.
