If you have removed an earlier version of CVSNT and installed another version, you could have problems if you did not remove the repository file, particularly if the file has changed in the interim. You may get an error about a socket connection failing. For this reason, be sure to remove the repository directory completely (normally c:\cvsrepo) and reinitialize a repository directory using the administration tool. See Setting Up CVSNT.
