Starting Eclipse

To start Eclipse

 

1. Click the shortcut you created earlier or double-click eclipse.exe in the install folder.

 

Note: If you do not have a Java runtime environment, Eclipse displays an error message and does not start.

 

2. You are prompted for a location to hold the workspace directory. Most likely the generated path is correct.

3. When Eclipse starts the first time, the Welcome screen is displayed. To continue, click . to display the Eclipse workbench screen.

The Eclipse IDE Installation Guide for OS 2200 help plug-in (a duplicate of this document) is now installed. You have the option to continue using this document to complete the installation and configuration process, or switch over to the OS 2200 help document on Eclipse. (To access the help, choose Help, Help Contents from the Eclipse menu bar. Locate and expand Unisys OS 2200 IDE User Guide in the Contents pane. Then click Eclipse IDE for OS 2200 Installation Guide.)
