XMLBuddy and XMLBuddy Pro are downloadable from http://www.xmlbuddy.com. The Pro version requires payment for a license key, but the regular version is free. Follow these steps to complete the download and installation of XMLBuddy.
1. Using Internet Explorer, go to http://www.xmlbuddy.com/.
2. Click Download (or Buy for the Pro version) on the left side of the screen.
3. Read and accept the license statement, or for Pro, work through the license purchase process.
4. Fill in your e-mail address on the download XMLBuddy 2.0 page, and click either Download XMLBuddy or Download XMLBuddy Pro.
5. Click cnet's Download.com button.
6. Scroll down and click Download XMLBuddy 2.0.6x, where x is a number indicating a stability release.
6. Click Save and direct the file to C:\Eclipse2200Temp.
7. Unzip (extract) the XMLBuddy zip file you downloaded using the C:\eclipse\plugins folder as the location. Be sure to check All files and Use folder names. This extraction adds XML Buddy 2.0 as a plug-in to Eclipse.
8. Restart Eclipse.
9. Verify that XMLBuddy is installed: from the Eclipse Help menu, choose Help Contents. You should see the XMLBuddy User Guide listed in the Contents.
10. Shut down Eclipse.
