Installing the C Development Environment

If you plan to edit C Compiler code in Eclipse, either for the OS 2200 or another platform, install the C Developer's Toolkit (CDT) into Eclipse. Follow these steps to complete the download and installation of the CDT.

1. Using Internet Explorer, go to http://download.eclipse.org/tools/cdt/builds/3.0.0/index.html.

2. Click a build from the CDT 3.0.0 list.

3. Under CDT SDK Feature, locate Win32/x86 and click the link to download the zip file.

4. Click Save and direct the file to C:\Eclipse2200Temp.

5. Unzip (extract) the org.eclipse.cdt.sdk-3.0.0-x-win32.x86.zip file using the C:\ drive as the location, where x is a letter indicating the version of CDT software you downloaded. Be sure to check All files and Use folder names. This extraction unzips the CDT to the main folder C:\eclipse and several subfolders.

6. Restart Eclipse.
