Base Components Installation Process

This document refers to specific levels of components that were current at the time of publication. The various vendors are continually updating their software, so you may choose to use a newer level of a component if it exists. The levels specified here are known to perform together. We recommend that you use them to get comfortable with the total environment before moving to other levels that may become available.

Install the following components. Click the step number or component name for details.

Note: After downloading each of these components, save them on your PC because several vendors do not keep archives of previous levels. Also note that several vendors use alternate downloading sites and those sites may have older versions of the components even though the main Web site no longer has the level you want. Always check them.
