Setting Up the Host Account

Host accounts are needed to log in to the 2200 using the OS 2200 IDE Telnet plug-in.

To create a new host account

1. Click Preferences on the Eclipse Window menu.

2. Click OS 2200 Connections in the left pane.
   
   The OS 2200 Connections dialog box for managing host accounts and connections appears.

3. Click New under the Host Accounts box.
   
   The Host Account Properties dialog box appears.

4. On the Telnet tab, fill in the Host, User ID, and Password boxes (all are required).

5. Retype the password in the Retype box.

6. Optionally, select Save Password to save your password on the 2200 system for future use of the same host account.

7. Select either OS 2200 or UNIX as the target operating system.

8. If the CIFS login information is different from the Telnet login information, click the CIFS tab and make the desired changes.
   
   Note: Values entered for the Telnet login are duplicated for the CIFS login. You can change any values on the CIFS tab as needed, including the host. The CIFS tab, however, does not offer an operating system selection.

9. Click OK.
