Using Host Manager View

You can view available CIFS connections and the associated projects that are connected to a host through Host Manager View. The Host Manager View also displays the status of the hosts.

To view the Host Manager View, do the following steps:

  1. From the Eclipse menu, click Window > Show View > Others.  

The Show View dialog box is displayed.

  1. Expand OS 2200 and select OS 2200 Host Manager View - CIFS.

  2. Click OK.

The OS 2200 Host Manager View - CIFS window is displayed.

Use this view to perform the following functionalities:

Add Host

To add a host, do the following:

  1. Click Add Host icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host manager View.

A Connections Settings dialog box is displayed.

Alternatively, right-click anywhere in the OS 2200 Host Manager View and select Add Host from the context menu.

  1. Provide the appropriate information in the fields.

Note: You can validate your Telnet credentials before connecting to the host. Refer to Test Connection Configuration for more information.

  1. Click OK.

The OS 2200 Host Manager View displays the host configuration details of the new host with the status as disconnected.

Edit Host

To edit a host connection, do the following:

  1. Select the host that you want to edit.

  2. Click Edit Host icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

A Connection Settings dialog box is displayed.  

Alternatively, right-click the selected host that you want to edit and select Edit Host from the context menu.

  1. Edit the details of the enabled fields.

  2. Click OK.

The OS 2200 Host Manager View displays the modified host configuration details with status as disconnected.

Delete Host

To delete a host connection, do the following:

  1. Select a host configuration in the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

  2. Click Delete Host icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

A popup window to confirm the deletion is displayed.

Alternatively, right-click the selected host and select Delete Host from the context menu.

  1. Click YES.

If there are no associated projects, the host is deleted.

  1. If there are associated projects, the Confirm Delete window lists all associated projects.

  2. Click OK.

The host is not deleted as there is a project associated with it. You must delete the project first and repeat the steps to delete the host.  

Note: The OS 2200 Host Manager View does not display details of the deleted host configuration.

Host Properties

To view the properties of a host, do the following:

  1. Select a host configuration in the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

  2. Right-click the host and select Properties option from the context menu.

The Host Properties dialog box is displayed with a list of the projects that are associated with the selected host.

Alternatively, click Properties icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

Connect Host

To connect to a host, do the following:

  1. Select a disconnected host from the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

  2. Click the Connect Host icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

Alternatively, right-click the selected host and select Connect Host from the context menu.

Disconnect Host

To disconnect a host, do the following:

  1. Select a connected host from the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

  2. Click the Disconnect Host icon in the right-hand top corner of the OS 2200 Host Manager View.

Alternatively, right-click the selected host and select Disconnect Host from the context menu.

Sort by Field

Each host connection with an OS 2200 project represents a row under the OS 2200 Host Manager View – CIFS view.

When there are multiple host connections, you can sort the rows according to the following fields:

If you click any one of these fields under the OS 2200 Host Manager View – CIFS view, the rows are sorted accordingly in ascending or descending order.
