The Send Using E-mail enables you to send an element or file that is opened in an editor or multiple elements that are selected from the OS 2200 Explorer or the OS 2200 File Explorer as an e-mail attachment. You must configure Outlook in the user system to use this feature.
To send an e-mail, do the following:
Select one or more elements from OS 2200 Explorer or OS 2200 File Explorer.
Note: The elements that are selected when the focus is on OS 2200 Explorer or OS 2200 File explore will be added as an attachment. When the focus is not on OS 2200 Explorer or OS 2200 File Explorer, the active editor will be added as an attachment.
Click
File >
Send Using E-mail. Alternatively, you can either click
on the toolbar or right-click on the file or element
and choose Send Using E-mail.
An Outlook e-mail message window appears that has
The name of the attached file or element in the subject line.
An attachment of the selected file or element or active editor in its original file format.
The file or element name and its respective OS 2200 system path in the body of the e-mail.
Note: When multiple elements with the same name are selected, the elements are differentiated by numbers within brackets appended to their names. For example, 103, 103 (1), 103 (2).
Notes:
You can send up to a maximum of 10 elements or file size of up to 10 MB.
If the selection exceeds 10 elements, an error message appears.
If the file size exceeds 10 MB, a Send Using E-mail dialog box appears that lists the selected files or elements with their respective sizes. You can manually select or deselect one or more files or elements until the size is less than or equal to 10 MB.
If the editor is modified before clicking Send Using E-mail, a message prompts you to save the editor.
For the OS 2200 File Explorer view, when the selected files do not exist or are not accessible or if the OS 2200 system associated with the selected files is disconnected or not available, an error message appears listing the files that could not be attached.
The elements selected from the OS 2200 Explorer view are always attached from the local cache. If the elements are not downloaded from the OS 2200 system to the local cache, they are downloaded and then attached. During this process, if the connection is disconnected or not available, an error message appears listing the files that could not be attached.
After you configure Outlook, you must restart Eclipse to be able to use the Send Using E-mail option.
If Outlook is 32-bit and OS 2200 Eclipse is 64-bit, then the Send Using E-mail option is unavailable to the user.
