Replacing an Element with the Copy
and Paste Functionality
This feature enables you to copy
and paste an element from within a project, outside the project, or local
to project.
You can perform this action using
one of the following methods:
Edit
> Copy
Edit
> Paste
- Hot
Key
- Right-click
(context menu, and choose copy or paste)

When the element you copied already
exists in the destination location, a dialog box opens. This dialog box
gives you the option to either replace the existing file or save the file
with a different name that can be filled in the text box provided.
Note:
- A
Name Conflict
dialog box will appear if the target location contains a file name
that matches the name of the file that you want to drag and drop.
You can resolve the conflict by providing a new name. The file with
the new name is copied to the target location and the corresponding
link is added to the project.
- When
you are replacing the existing element with the copied element, the
Name text box is grayed out.
- When
the selection is more than one element, check Apply all
to replace the existing elements.
- When
you are saving the element with a different name, OK is
disabled until the time a unique name is provided.
- Clicking
on Cancel aborts the operation.
