Renaming and Modifying the Type of an OS 2200 Element

To rename/modify the element type and character conversion of an OS 2200 project, do the following:

  1. Open an OS 2200 project.

  1. Expand the project and its work files to display the elements in the project.

  2. Right-click the element and select Rename/Type Modification. Alternatively, click F2.

The Rename/Retype modification dialog box appears.

  1. To Rename the element name, edit the Element name text box.

  2. To change the element type, select the required element type from the Select symbolic subtype list.

  3. To change the element character, select the required character conversion from the Select Character Conversion list.

  4. Click Finish.

Note: If a local element is not synchronized with the OS 2200 system then renaming such element will lose all the modified contents.
