Opening an Element in the Editor

To open an element in the editor, do the following:

1. Open an OS 2200 project.

2. Expand the project and its work file to display the elements in the project.

3. Double-click the required element.

The element is displayed in the editor.

Note: You can open the element only if the OS 2200 file can be accessed. The element cannot be accessed if the network is unavailable or if the file is rolled out.

You can also open an element from:

• Your Local System

• Mapped Network Drive

• A Configured Server

Opening an Element from your Local System (Local System)

To open an element from your system, do the following:

1. Click File > Open File....

2. In the Open File box, browse the element you want to open.

3. Click Open.

Opening an Element from a Different Server (Mapped Network Drives)

To open an element from a different server, do the following:

1. Click File > Open External File With....

2. In the Open External File With... box, browse the element you want to open.

3. Click Open.
