Drag and Drop or Copy and Paste of work files and elements

You can copy or drag a single or multiple linked files to a target location. This feature is applicable in the following situations:

• If you want to copy or drag elements from OS 2200 projects in the OS 2200 explorer.

• If you want to copy and paste elements from OS 2200 explorer to OS 2200 project.

• If you want to copy or drag files from a Windows environment to an OS 2200 project in an Eclipse environment. You cannot copy or drag and drop folders from a Windows environment to an Eclipse environment.

Notes:

• Right-clicking on the selected elements enables you to copy and paste them from

• OS 2200 File Explorer to local file system.

• Local file system to OS 2200 File Explorer.

• OS 2200 File Explorer to OS 2200 Project.

• OS 2200 Project to OS 2200 File Explorer.

• A Name Conflict dialog box will appear if the target location contains a file name that matches the name of the file that you want to copy and paste or drag and drop. You can resolve the conflict by providing a new name. The file with the new name is copied to the target location and the corresponding link is added to the project.

• When the selection is more than one element, check Apply all in the Name Conflict dialog box to replace the existing elements.

• When you are saving the element with a different name, OK is disabled until the time a unique name is provided.

• Clicking Cancel aborts the operation.

• It is not possible to perform drag and drop operation when Eclipse IDE is not connected to the network.
