To create a new work file in an OS 2200 project, perform the following steps in the Create New Work File window:
Enter a valid work file name in the following format:
qualifier*file. or qualifier*file(+1).
Note: If you enter a work file name in an invalid format, an error message appears in the Create New Work File window, and the OK button is disabled. You need to re-enter the work file name in the correct format to proceed.
Select the required directory from the For sites that run MHFS option, if applicable.
Select the required access for the work file from the Access option.
Select the required work file type from the Type(Addressable) option.
Enter the required initial reserve value for the work file in the Initial Reserve box.
Select the granularity from the Granule option.
Enter the required maximum length for the work file in the Max Length box, if appropriate.
Type
the required name in the Pack-ID
box. A pack-id name can be 1 to 6 characters in length of the set
A through Z, 0 through 9.
Note: You
can type multiple names separated by a "/".
Type the required name in the ACR-Name box, if appropriate.
Click OK.
The new work file is displayed in the OS 2200 Work File box.
Note: If the name of the work file already exists, an error message appears in the Create New Work File window.
Alternatively, you can enter or update the Exec Control Language (ECL) command for creating a new work file in the Composed entry box and click OK.
