Clearing the Cache

This feature deletes all the unreferenced elements that may have been previously included in the project from the cache. By default, it is scheduled to clear the cache on the first of every month. You can change the day you want the cache to be cleared.

To reschedule the cache clear process, do the following:

1. Click Window > Preferences.

2. In the Preferences window, click OS2200.

3. In the right pane, from the Clear Cache group, select a date from the drop-down list when you want the cache to be cleared.

4. Click Apply and then click OK.
   
   The cache will be cleared every month on the selected date.
   
   Notes:

• Restoring Defaults restores the settings to clear the cache on the first of every month.

• If the date is set to a past date, then the scheduler clears the cache the moment Eclipse is started.
