21 Go to Line

[Go to Line] option can be selected from the [Edit] menu to jump to the specified line, based on the sequence number or line number. Pressing the [Ctrl+L] keys performs the same operation.

+ Jump to the specified line or sequence number in a file in the fixed format or variable format

  1. Select [Edit] > [Go to Line] from the menu bar. The [Go to Line] dialog box is displayed.

  2. Select [Line number] and enter the destination line number in [Enter Line Number] textbox, or select [Sequence Number] and enter the destination sequence number in [Enter Sequence Number] textbox. By default, [Sequence Number] is selected.
  3. A sequence number consisting of a real number preceded by zeros can be entered without the preceding zeros. For a sequence number of 000100, as an example, 100 can be entered instead of 000100.
  4. To jump to the specified line and close the dialog box, click [OK]. The cursor moves to the beginning of the line with the specified line number.
  5. Otherwise, to only close the dialog box, click [Cancel].

Jump to Specified Line number in a File in Free format

Select [Edit] > [Go to Line] from the menu bar. The [Go to Line] dialog box is displayed.

Enter the Line number in the [Enter line number] text box

Click on [OK] to go to that particular line and close the dialog box. The cursor will be placed at the starting position of the line number, which you have entered.

Click on [Cancel] to close the dialog box.
