Changing the Initial and Incremental Values of Sequence Numbers

The initial and incremental values of sequence numbers can be changed as follows.

1. Select [Window] > [Preferences] from the menu bar. The [Preferences] dialog box is displayed.
2. Select [COBOL] > [Editor] in the left pane. The [Editor] page is displayed.
3. Select [Reference Format] tab. The [Reference Format] page is displayed.
4. Specify [Initial Value] and [Increment Value] under [Set Initial and Increment Values For Sequence Numbers].

• By default, both [Initial Value] and [Increment Value] are 10.
• After [Initial Value] and [Increment Value] are changed, the new settings are valid for files subsequently created but are not valid for the files already opened by the editor.
