Dependency View File Handling Procedures

This section explains the procedures for handling files in the Dependency view. The handling of files in the Dependency view is also reflected in the Structure view.

+Adding a source file in the Dependency view

1. Select the [Source Files] folder in the Dependency view.
2. Select [Add File] from the context menu. A dialog box with a list of the files corresponding to the selected project is displayed.

   
   
   

3. Select the file(s) to be added to the Source Files folder.
4. Click [OK]. The selected source file is then added to the Source Files folder in the Dependency view. This addition is also reflected in the Structure view.

+ Adding a link file in the Dependency view

1. Select the [Linking Files] folder in order to add a file to it.
2. Select [Add Files] from the context menu. The file selection dialog is displayed.

   
   
   

3. Select the file to be added to the Linking Files folder.
4. Click [OK]. The selected file is then added to the Linking Files folder in the Dependency view. This addition is also reflected in the Structure view.

+ Adding a dependency file

1. Select the [Dependent Files] folder in order to add a file to it.
2. Select [Add File] from the context menu. The file selection dialog is displayed.
3. Select the file to be added to the dependency file folder.
4. Click [OK]. The selected file is then added to the dependency file folder in the Dependency view.

+Deleting a dependency file

1. Select the file to be deleted from the Dependent Files folder.
2. Select [Delete] from the context menu.

4. The file deletion confirmation dialog is displayed. Click the [OK] button. The selected file is then deleted from the Dependent Files folder.

1. Deleting a dependency file merely clears the file from the Dependent Files folder and does not remove the file from the file system.
