Generating Inventory Report

The Fabric Manager enables you to collect diagnostic data in the form of inventory report. An inventory report generated by the Fabric Management Platform (FMP) is a consolidated report that contains the Fabric Configuration Inventory details in an xml format. It contains all the related information about Platform, Partitions, NIC ports, HBA ports, Secure Fabrics and Events.

To generate an inventory report,

  1. On the Fabric Manager user interface, click Diagnostics.

  2. Click Inventory Report.

    A table listing all the inventory reports appear.

  3. Click Generate.

    The Generate Inventory Report window appears.

    Note: While generating Inventory report you can also notify the support center.

  4. Select one of the following options:

    • None: If you do not want to notify the Support Center. The inventory report is stored on the FMP and you can choose to download and save it on your local machine.

    • Email: If you want to notify the Support Center through an email.

    • FTP: If you want to notify the Support Center via FTP.

      Note: The inventory report is generated and uploaded to the FTP server. You can go to the pre-configured FTP Server to view the newly generated inventory report.

  5. Click Ok.
