The version message is sent to the Operations Sentinel server when a valid connection is first established. The message contains the version number of the interface software and indicates if the filter file was loaded successfully. The message is sent only once at the start of the Operations Sentinel session. The format and contents of the version message is

SP-INTERFACE version-number FILTER FILE LOAD status

where:

version-number

is the version level of the interface software in the format xx.xxx.xxx.

status

is the status of the filter file load. These are the possible status values:

OK—Filter file was loaded successfully.

NOTOK—Filter file could not be loaded successfully. Default values were assumed instead.

ERROR—Filter file was loaded, but it contains errors.
