Turn Off Reporting of Information from an Operations Server

OS 2200 Console Manager reports the following information:

By default, all information is reported from an Operations Server. In some situations, you might not want to view the information an Operations Server reports. This could occur if you have a large data center that has many Operations Servers configured. If you choose not to report information from an Operations Server, the node for the specified Operations Server is permanently collapsed. You are not notified if new nodes are added, even if you have selected the option to be notified.

To turn off reporting of information from an Operations Server

  1. Right-click the desired Operations Server and click Properties.

The Operations Server Properties dialog box appears.

  2. On the General tab panel, select the Do not report information from this Operations Server check box.

  3. Click Apply to accept the changes you made. OK closes the Operations Server Properties dialog box.

The changes you make take effect immediately after you click Apply or OK.

You can choose to report information from the Operations Server at any time by clearing the Do not report information from this Operations Server check box on the Operations Server Properties dialog box for the Operations Server.

Note: If you have OS 2200 consoles that are shared by multiple Operations Servers, OS 2200 Console Manager reports information to all Operations Servers. If you set one of the Operations Servers to not report information, only the information that is unique to that Operations Server is no longer displayed. The consoles still appear in the tree pane since other Operations Servers continue to report their information.
