Logging Fields

Use Operations Server log defaults

Select this option to use the Operations Server log defaults. Clear this check box to set customized logging options for the OS 2200 console. If you set different values for the OS 2200 console, they override the values set for the Operations Server.

Log CP-AMS supplemental display

If you select this option, supplemental messages produced by the CP-AMS DISPLAY action are written to the Operations Sentinel log file for the partition. Set this option if you want to make sure all information is written to the log file or to make the log file have the same set of messages as the OS 2200 Console View traffic pane. If you do not select this option, supplemental messages produced by the CP-AMS DISPLAY action are not written to the log file.

This option has no effect on OS 2200 Console View. The supplemental messages produced by CP-AMS can be displayed in the panes of Console View, while not being logged by Operations Sentinel.

Log CP-AMS suppressed messages

If you select this option, OS 2200 console messages and commands that are suppressed by CP-AMS SUPPRESS, TCOMMAND, and TEXECUTE actions are written to the Operations Sentinel log file for the partition. Set this option if you want to make sure all information is written to the log file or to make the log file have the same set of messages as the OS 2200 traffic pane. If you do not select this option, OS 2200 console messages and commands that are suppressed by CP-AMS are not written to the log file. You would not select this option if the messages are suppressed as part of message substitution.

This option has no effect on OS 2200 Console View. The messages suppressed by CP-AMS can be logged by Operations Sentinel but not displayed in the panes of OS 2200 Console View, except for read-and-reply messages. Read-and-reply messages are always displayed by OS 2200 Console View in the read-and-reply pane and logged by Operations Sentinel.
