CP-AMS provides a basic set of functions or default actions. The default actions are available only in casual or unattended mode. Default actions are taken only on the console receiving the primary copy of a message.
You tailor your system using AMS databases. Actions resulting from an AMS database match override the default actions. Default actions are executed only when the message does not match a pattern in the database. If you do not want CP-AMS to perform any action when a message is matched, define a pattern in the database without any actions.
The specific default actions performed by AMS vary depending on the following characteristics:
Operating mode
Attended
Casual
Unattended
Message type
Read-and-reply
Read-alert
Read-only
