Operations Sentinel Configuration Manger allows Data Configuration and Network Configuration.
Data Configuration
Operations Sentinel Data Configuration Manager helps in restoring the default configuration that might be overridden by the user changes.
If the user has performed modifications to the default configuration, the updates provided by the Operations Sentinel through a new release or a patch are not visible to the user. This is because the changes made by the user always take precedence over the new changes released by Operations Sentinel. Based on the choice of the user, this implementation either retains the user configuration or overwrites the changes made by the user to the default configuration provided by Unisys. With Data Configuration, the user has an option to restore the default configuration after the installation of a new release or a patch.
Note: The Operation Sentinel services should be stopped before restoring to default.
Network Configuration
Based on the Network Configuration, Operation Sentinel service establishes the connection between components and monitored systems. The user can choose any one of the Internet Protocol versions, provided the underlying system or the network supports the particular configuration.
The user has to select between IPv4 addressing and IPv6 addressing schemes based on the network configuration in the DNS server. By default, IPv4 addressing is selected.
The user can select the Secure check box for choosing secure Connection Type, the connection type can be secure/non secure or both. By default, non secure network connection is selected.
Note: The Operation Sentinel services should be stopped before updating to a different IP version or connection type.
