For client programs using the Event Server API, the primary Operations Sentinel server is identified by the environment variable SPO_EVENT, which you must set before you execute the client. To change to a different primary Operations Sentinel server, stop the client and restart it after setting SPO_EVENT to the name of the new server. Figure 18–2 shows the use of the environment variables SPO_EVENT and SPO_EVENT_SECONDARY with an Event Server API client.
