Operations Sentinel provides the following Autoaction Message Systems (AMS) for defining patterns to match messages. Each pattern can include a set of actions to take when the pattern matches a message.
SP-AMS databases for MCP, UNIX, and Linux systems
CP-AMS databases for ClearPath OS 2200 consoles
A different CP-AMS database can be active for each OS 2200 console. In contrast, only one SP-AMS database can be active for each Operations Sentinel server, providing automation for all MCP, UNIX, and Linux systems managed by that server.
The Autoaction Database Manager (ADBM) application lets you create all types of autoaction databases. To start this application
Click Start, Programs, OperationsSentinelx.y.z, AutomationTools, and then click Autoaction Database Manager. A window similar to the following appears.
For compatibility with Autoaction Message System utilities from previous releases, the following three entries: Build AMS Database, Verify AMS Database, and Dump AMS Database are provided in the Automation Tools submenu. See the Operations Sentinel Autoaction Message System Administration Guide (7862 6900) and the Operations Sentinel Autoaction Database Manager Help (7862 6488) for more information.
