spo_event is an executable program that provides an interface for an application on a Windows system to transmit event reports of any type to Operations Sentinel server. Using a scripting language to call spo_event, you can write an agent that runs on a monitored Windows system and perform the following tasks:
Raises, acknowledges, or clears alerts in Operations Sentinel server
Logs messages in Operations Sentinel log files
Changes attribute values
Sends commands to other managed systems
When you call spo_event, it returns a completion status so your application can verify that the event report it sent to Operations Sentinel server was received.
The spo_event program is installed on each monitored Windows system when you install the Windows Resource Monitor.
