Attribute change (AC) event reports notify Operations Sentinel of changes to utilization properties for each MCP systemit is monitoring. Operations Sentinel Console displays these utilization parameters as system properties, and Operations Sentinel server compares them to thresholds that you set for the system.
Note: SP-AMS generates an attribute change event report when a pattern in its active database matches a utilization message on an MCP system. The two patterns that match MCP utilization messages are in the pattern group UTILIZATION in the database MCPMon supplied with Operations Sentinel. This database is installed in the sp-ams subfolder of the Operations Sentinel data folder. You should include these patterns in all of your SP-AMS databases if your site monitors MCP systems. The event report produced by these patterns sets the values of MCP system utilization parameters that are displayed in Operations Sentinel Console. See the Operations Sentinel Interface for ClearPath MCP Installation and Configuration Guide for more information.
