Client programs must be located on the managed systems. To specify the location of the Operations Sentinel server in a distributed environment, set the environment variable SPO_EVENT before starting the client program. For the value of this environment variable, use the name or IP address of the server (as specified in the /etc/hosts file, the Domain Name Server, or the Windows Internet Naming Service). The default value for the location of the server is “localhost.”
